Cyber Security Intern

Background

Retrospect Labs is offering a cyber security internship for the second half of 2025. For this position, the candidate must be based in Perth, Western Australia.

This position is a fixed term contract and is non-ongoing. We believe this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone studying or transitioning into the Cyber Security domain to gain unique insights and experience.

The contract is 5 months in duration, starting from July 2025 to November 2025.

What you'll do

• Provide logistical support for upcoming major engagements / exercises
• Monitor the support email and ticketing system for major engagements and perform basic triaging
• Build and test technical artefacts (e.g. log files, phishing emails) to be used in exercises
• Review scenarios for flow and technical accuracy
• Provide assistance in cyber security exercises we deliver

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

What we offer

• This is a paid internship - $60K per annum + superannuation (pro-rata for part time)
• You will be doing real work and be involved in some impactful projects and engagements
• As a small company, you will be working directly with experienced professionals across multiple domains

3. If shortlisted after assessing your responses in the exercise, we will invite you for an interview.
4. If successful, you will start in early July 2025.

Other important details

• The candidate must be based in Perth, Western Australia
• Majority of the internship you will work remotely but on occasions will need to work from our Perth office
• The candidate must undergo a police check (we cover the cost)
• We will consider part time arrangements (at least 3 days per week)
